This is my good and bad review on the 1V: The Sony Xperia 1 V is a distinctive flagship smartphone that offers a mix of unique features and solid performance, particularly appealing to photography enthusiasts and professionals. Design and Display: The Xperia 1 V sports a sleek, if somewhat understated, design with a texturized finish that resists fingerprints. The build includes Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for durability. Its 6.5-inch 4K OLED display stands out with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing sharp, vibrant visuals that are customizable for color temperature and brightness, making it suitable for both outdoor and nighttime use Performance: Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the Xperia 1 V delivers excellent performance. However, it can experience some thermal throttling under prolonged heavy use. Despite this, it handles everyday tasks and gaming smoothly Camera: The Xperia 1 V features a versatile camera setup, including a 48MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP optical zoom lens. Sony's approach to smartphone photography emphasizes manual controls and minimal post-processing, which may appeal to those who prefer to edit their photos themselves. However, this can be less convenient for users accustomed to the AI-enhanced photography found in other flagship phones. The camera performs well in good lighting but struggles in extreme conditions. Notably, the phone lacks a dedicated macro mode and high-resolution shooting options, which are standard in other high-end smartphones, like it's new brother that didn't come to the U.S market. That my little review, and this is my rant. Well for me, and a few of my friends are sad that Sony did not bring the new 1IV to the U.S market and for Sony to be such a big company in technology is bad! With long term software support! Especially for the U.S market, the company should at least give the 1 V one or more years in software and android security updates. I'm a long time Sony consumer and this really hurts me to the core when you spend a lot of money, and you just get a thank you dummy for giving us more of your money!
