He was educated in Cracow, Warsaw and Prague. He was interested primarily graphic design, mainly books. He has educated many outstanding designers. He also painted oil paintings, created woodcuts, posters and designs stained-glass windows. He was inspired by the folk art and folklore of Krakow. He was a member of the jury of the competition Cracow Nativity Cribs.
