Arthur Humberstone's Sporting Strips: Comic strips and cartoons August 1950 - September 1951, (Paperback)

British animator Arthur Humberstone (1912-1999) began his career on Halas and Batchelor's Animal Farm in 1954 and subsequently worked on many other animated features and TV shows. Before working as an animator he produced cartoon strips for the Derby Evening Telegraph. For the weekly Saturday Football Special supplement, he drew the misadventures of Fatty and Batty, a pair of avid Derby County fans, followed by a strip looking at local sporting events. All existing strips for these series have been restored and are reproduced in this full colour paperback.
