In 1889 he became an apprentice in the studio of Jules Chéret (known as the father of the modern poster) in Chaix, where he created many posters for the entertainment and leisure industry. He also produced posters for theater, tourism, department stores; his oil paintings, watercolors and pastels show fashionable topics: classical and Spanish dancers, landscapes, views of Montmartre, love scenes, but also portraits and family scenes. He was a friend of Alfons Mucha. He passed on in 1955 and was buried at the Cemetery Chapel in Paris.
