Pacifica Island Art uses an environmentally-friendly Unryu Japanese rice paper made by the Awagami Factory in Tokushima, Japan. Unryu, which translates to 'cloud dragon paper' in Japanese, features long strands of kozo fiber and is made from natural mulberry and hemp fibers using traditional Japanese Washi techniques - ABOUT THE ARTIST - Aldo Cosomati - Aldo Cosomati (1895-1977) Cosomati was born in Italy, and lived in Zurich for five years where he studied drawing, printing, bookbinding and furniture design. At the end of the first World War he came to London where he worked as a commercial artist producing poster designs for London Transport, BOAC and other, as well as designing illustrations for books, menus and wine lists.
