great part

I expected to take this down to the powder coat shop. I was surprised to find out it was already done. I will tap the block 3/8 for stronger bolt up. I wish it had the mounting bolts. Oh well ill run down to Fastenal.overall a great part not disappointed in any way. Speedway is the bomb !

Solves an early hemi problem

A major issue with the early ""baby"" hemi is that there is no easy way to add conventional, side motor mounts. Many solutions to this require replacing the timing cover, even going to a later model cam, etc. This mount goes on easily, using four of the existing mounting holes for the timing cover. It is very well made, nicely finished. I did find that I had to grind off a bit of metal to make if fit my particular timing cover, but this was a minor matter. The mount does not come with bolts, and the original bolts are much too short, so, off to the hardware store for four, grade-8 bolts long enough to mount it. It appears to be very sturdy, nicely welded and finished. The price is about half of what other types of mounts cost for these engines.
