Still going strong!
Our original lever door handles are over 30 years old and our master bedroom handle finally gave out. I shopped around extensively to find a replacement that would blend in and did not cost an arm and a leg. I installed the Kwikset Lido a couple of years ago and have been extremely pleased with how it looks and operates. Two years later it is still working like new and I am now thinking of replacing all of our other door handles with them. Thank you Kwikset for providing a quality, durable, and attractive product at an affordable price.

Set screw
Lousy design in my opinion. Set screw to remove handle fell out and now I can't lock in handle. It would have been so much easier if the cover plate simply had a hole to reach the bolts.

Hello Mark17, To remove the levers, first ensure that your lever set is in the unlocked position. The set screw that holds the levers onto the chassis is reverse threaded and pre-installed in the lever shaft. Next, slide the 3/32 Allen wrench into the hole on the levers’ side to loosen the set screw, which will release the lever from the chassis. Once you slide the lever onto the correct side, insert the 3/32 Allen wrench into the hole on the side of the lever and turn clockwise to tighten the lever in place. Great finish for a life time
I purchased 5 of these door levers in 2000. They work great and have a lifetime warranty. I did have a small problem but Kwikset was there ready to help me at no charge. I would not purchase another handle. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
