A few tips

Simple to operate, reasonably quiet, small footprint, and biodegradable bags/rolls. This little gem meets my needs and helps reduce food waste in our home. Several reviewers complain that the seal doesn't work or the suction doesn't work. I use the "bag rolls" and first create a double seal (about 1/4" apart) then making sure that I have at least 4" of excess bag, then make the cut. Insert food, wipe the inside surface with a dry towel, then seal. The 4" additional space ensures any moisture stays in the bag. Finally, double seal the end. I have not had a freezer burnt item yet.

Really good vacuum sealer

Do really well it's job, very easy to use. But, a bit too loud tho.

Very picky to use.

I had to send the first sealer back to factory because it didn't work. The positive experience here was that the Cuisinart agent was helpful and they made it easy. They sent me a new (or reconditioned?) unit at no cost. I found it didn't work for the leftover, drained kidney beans: even the smallest amount of moisture can get caught up in the sealer and interfere with the sealing process. If any moisture is too moist for the unit to work on the “moist” setting, it will be of very limited use. I have to dry my chicken breasts before sealing. I'm purchasing stewing meat this week. It will be interesting to see how well it seals that product - or not. The user manual provided has only minimum utility.
