Penn Carnage Surf Rod 9”

Bought this Rod after much consideration and debate, paired it up with Penn Slammer 3, 4500. It's a Sick rod for the money and more backbone than Rods costing double the money. It makes easy work of fish 25-30 lbs. still waiting to catch something bigger but it's worth every penny.

I bought two penn carnage rods a while back that I pared with the fierce 6000 reels. But my son always use them when we go fishing . So, I recently purchased two more carnage 10ft surf rods that I will be using with the battle 2 reels. I am very happy with my penn rods and reels. I now have a total of 27 rods in my collection. I am a woman that loves to fish and have landed lots of black drum and bull reds. I only fish with penn.

Simply a home run!

I have been building and fishing surf rods for 50 years. This rod combines the robust durability of those old white spiral wrapped telephone poles we used to lob “ 8 and bait” in the sixties with the feel and fun of graphite and beyond... Great functional low profile guides and a reel seat that all but disappears once it’s locked down... Gonna miss those hours wrapping and coating threads ... ( okay. One lie to prove I am a fisherman!) Cape Cod Luke
