A French heirloom dating back to 1866, this spinach is also known as “Monstrueux de Viroflay," the huge leaves being a spinach lover's gourmet delight even to this day! This huge spinach can grow up to 2 feet in diameter to house 8" wide crisp, dark green leaves. No matter how big the plant becomes, the leaves stay tender and scrumptious with a milder flavor than most other varieties. Germination can be difficult. Days to Maturity: 40-50 in full sun.
