I've been using this board for a few years now and it has been great. At first as a FreeNAS server using the onboard SATA. I changed the config to install ESXi 6.7 and went with a virtual TrueNAS build with a H310 6Gbps SAS HBA passed through. I was able to pass one of the network interfaces to the VM and has been a good experience. This allowed me to load VM instances of application servers that used the storage such as Windows PLEX and a Ubuntu Minecraft server VM
