I bought this reel and a revo spin cast reel and got a vegence rod I have been using the spin cast with great success On my first trip with the baitcast reel (had to wait till the rod arrived) I had the best day fishing in my life for big walleye and bass on the Columbia river. Caught a 32 inch 12 plus pounder using 6 pound braided and landed the fish in the boat with no problems. Caught 4 walleye all over 23 1/2 inches and 4 bass in the 14 to 18 inch range Thank you from a satisfied customer
