A quality handlebar is one of the most important components on your bike. It can accentuate your cornering by making berms and switchbacks fun as hell. But more so a quality handlebar should just feel awesome to ride with as you pinpoint every corner. Every rider knows that a bad-quality handlebar feels awkward to ride with. The handlebar is either too long or short and going over bumps is painful as there is little to no shock absorption. With the Corki Cycles Simpleton (SMPL) handlebar we wanted to create a handlebar that's built for every discipline of mountain biking. Attach our 50mm rise handlebar to your free ride, downhill, enduro, or dirt-jumping bike. The Simpleton handlebar comes in two sizes: 720mm and 780mm. To ensure you choose the right size bar, measure your shoulder distance with your hands placed out as if you were holding an imaginary handlebar. If for example your shoulder width is 740mm always order a longer bar as you can later if needed make it shorter. At the end of the 50mm rise handlebar, you will find 10mm measure increments to shorten your handlebar. The handlebar end diameter is 22.2mm. This is the universal grip size diameter for most lock-on and slide-on handlebar grips. The central handlebar clamping diameter is 31.8mm. This central diameter is compatible with most bike stems. Always check compatibility with your bike stem first. To make the Simpleton 50mm rise handlebar we used Aluminium 6061 with a double-butted design. This means on the handlebar where more strength is needed, we reinforced this area with a thicker wall. But in areas where less shock or impact is exerted on the handlebar, we used a thinner aluminum wall. By utilizing a double-butted design the MTB handlebar is stronger while also being lightweight. The design also assists with shock absorption so you can ride even the gnarliest of rock gardens.
