Sponge cartridges for AQUAEL filters made of carefully selected phenol-free sponge. They ensure efficient mechanical filtration of water, keeping impurities and suspensions visible to the naked eye. At the same time, they are a substrate for nitrifying bacteria, thanks to which they also perform biological filtration. In order to ensure optimal operation of the inserts, it is recommended to replace them regularly and to maintain them only in "old" water taken during changes from the aquarium.
