He exhibited them with the Thirteen Watercolorists group at local art galleries and in annual museum shows. During World War II, he was stationed in the South Pacific and produced many watercolors, some of which appeared in Life magazine. After the war, he continued to paint representational transparent watercolor paintings of cityscape scenes and landscape subjects in the Sonoma Country area.
