Awesome

I was going to make similar jacks, but these will work awesome. My plan would be to put a 8 inch piece of pvc x 1-1/2 installed centered in the concrete while pouring the sonotube. Then just reverse the jack, inserting the inch and a quarter bolt in the pvc, and still anchor the plate.

Thank you Ellis for your fantastic products!

Our home was built in the Early 1900's. We do not know the exact date of the construction but the best we can figure out is some time in 1902. Our home was of modest construction for the time and features a single floor with 11.5 foot ceilings and a hip roof. The home is built on a crawlspace with a single center true 6"x6" support beam on 3 concrete columns with true 2"x8" American Chestnut Joists spanning 16 feet from the exterior foundation wall to the center beam. Over the past century this has led to significant bowing in the joists which warranted adding additional support. Some time in the 1960s a previous owner constructed a haphazard support structure to shore up the floor using all sorts of mixed construction products including brick, cinder block, and lumber. I must say that navigating these hazards in the tightly confined space was a bit worry-sum for myself and crew which consisted of my younger brother and my brother-in-law. After cleaning up 100 years of debris in the first section we finally had space and light to work. We started close to our only crawlspace entrance and worked our way under the whole home ensuring that we only lifted the house as much as necessary to shore up the floors without causing any catastrophic damage to the old and creaky structure. After several days we managed to get the house properly supported and I have been able to significantly level the structure over the last several weeks. Thank you Ellis for your fantastic products!

Perfect Jack For The Job

I needed heavy duty jacks to level up some sagging floors. I went with the 6" model because of the weight I needed to support. These are perfect for my project. The quality of the materials, the ease of installation and the ease of use made these ideal for my DIY job.
