The DPM10B by Rockville is one of the only 10” studio monitors on the market. There is only one other that we have seen. We strongly feel out of the few on the market that ours is the best sounding and best quality.
They have a flat frequency curve making these the perfect studio monitors, but many customers also use these in their home or as stage monitors. These are just about the cleanest sounding speakers you can find. The only reason our price point is not 300 % higher is because you are buying directly from the manufacturer.
To get the most efficiency we use a tri-amp class “AB” amplifier. There are 3 separate amps built into this speaker. One for the lows, one for the mids, and one for the highs. We also added a 3-way crossover that makes sure each component is playing the proper frequencies so that you get the cleanest sound. This is a true 3-way speaker design. We use the best quality components from the amp circuit, to the tweeter, to the woofer, to the enclosure. For highs, we use Ferro fluid enhanced 1.5" neodymium silk dome tweeters. The neo magnet is strong and can handle a lot of heat. This enabled us to beef up the amplifier power without having to worry about melting or blowing the tweeter. The highs on these sound phenomenal! For mids we use a 4” glass Aramid composite midrange. The voice and mids on this speaker are what makes this cleaner than anything else I have ever listened to. The 10” glass Aramid composite woofer gives you some serious bass! What I love about the bass is that you do not get any rumbling effect. It is just clean and musical. The rubber surrounds increase sound quality and eliminate unwanted distortion. The specially wound voice coils produce accurate responses along the entire frequency spectrum. We developed these speakers with the most optimized magnet structure, cone, and cabinet space, with the goal of reproducing the sound to play back exactly the way it was recorded!
