Little Powerhouse
I bought the Nutri Ninja BL492 blender to make smoothies, but I've found myself using it for other things as well. I'm not much of a cook, but the Nutri Ninja has me experimenting, and I've really gotten into cooking a lot more than I used to. The motor is powerful enough that it blends frozen fruits so well that there are absolutely no lumps. I've also used it to chop vegetables for salsa and guacamole, among other things. I haven't had a good blender in years--they just didn't have what it takes so I didn't use one. My old food processer was pretty pathetic too. I was intrigued by the Vitamix when it came out several years ago, but the cost was ridiculously high and still is. This Nutri Ninja seems to be a very reasonably priced, yet excellent, substitute! This model is 1200 watts, and I know there is a model with 1500 watts, but I can't imagine how it would do a better job that this one!

Love this blender and very happy with my purchase! It's an extremely reasonable price for a product that works so well. The smoothie auto iq button really helps to blend perfectly creamy smoothies with no issues whatsoever chopping through frozen fruit or ice! These blades are very sharp I have cut myself a few times during washing and cleaning them so handle with care. The mini blender makes this item the perfect size to fit on my kitchen counter under the cabinets without issue. Can't wait to try out more recipes from the book that is included with your purchase. Definitely would buy this item again!

Walmart had the best price for this package. I was surprised by how large the base is, but after going through two cheap personal blenders I realize it needs to have a larger motor and housing in order to do a good job. I'm very pleased with this blender. It is a little loud, which is expected for 1200 rpm. It is wise to follow directions on the order you place the ingredients to ensure a good blend. Overall a great addition for this breastfeeding mother, who has to eat a lot of meals one handed.
