Bought as a blind buy and would not recommend. It's definitely a "different" scent. To me it has more of a floral scent than I was expecting from the description with a somewhat pungent motor oil backend. I guess that's supposed to be the Encre Noir (Black ink) aroma. I don't smell "earthy" at all and although I may use it again at some point it's not a go-to for me and will most likely sit in the cabinet. The bottle is cool and the atomizer is great but fragrance is for someone who already knows it and likes "odd" smells
