No clue my PC didn't support 5G...until needed.

When I learned I needed to install a 5G adapter on my HP desktop, TP Link was highly recommended. Actually I'm such an elderly techno-novice I didn't even realize I was ordering the 'Mini' version. I was ready to return it for an exchange, when a knowledgeable friend suggested I give it a try. Well it was an instant and easy success, especially with the included installation CD. The price was great too. (As I'm typing, I just noticed it even has a tiny green power light I never noticed. That's a plus also). You can spend a lot more for these adapters, but (in my case anyway) there was no need. Hope this review helps someone.

Reliable and fast.

Overall, this unit works well and is easy to install. I've been using several Edimax EW-7811Un 150 Mbps 802.11n USB Wi-Fi adapters, and so far the TP-Link AC600 performs noticeably better and faster. The Edimax units have been very unreliable for me, with consistently poor connection stability and slow speeds. Installation of the AC600 is straightforward since it's just a USB device. I immediately noticed improved speeds (definitely better than the Edimax adapters), and the connection has been much more reliable, with far fewer dropouts. Overall, I'm very happy with this adapter.
