The Shimano Alivio RD-M4000 SGS is a 9 speed rear derailleur with top normal pull. Quick and smooth shifting with a sleek look. Shimano Shadow rear derailleurs can be mounted to traditional derailleur hangers and direct mount hangers. Direct Mount hangers position the mounting bolt approximately 25 mm rearward. When mounting to a Direct Mount frame, remove the B2 link plate and mount the knuckle directly to the hanger with the provided 10 mm bolt.
