Beautiful , but strong smell and a little darker

Looks beautiful, was a little darker than expected, but still cherry. The smell out of the box is pretty strong and even after wiping down it still has a slight smell and it's been about few weeks. There was a little ding in the foot board, but the company sent a replacement, which was great. Over all happy, wish the smell wasn't so strong.
