Capital Volume 1 is by far the most finished and well-written of the 3 volume work. Whether or not one agrees with the Labor Theory of Value or or the division between Living Labor and Dead Labor, the famous chapters on the Fetishism of Commodities and The Working Day offer a devastating, heart -breaking indictment of the brutalities of 19th century Capitalism while acknowledging the tremendous productivity and epochal significance of the Capitalist system. Marx writes with the fevor, sarcasm and rage matched only by the Hebrew Prophets of the Bible
