Moultrie 6 MP Micro Digital Infrared Game Trail Hunting Camera | MCG-13034

This camera is easy to set up and so far has taken a lot of pictures. Now the bad part. The camera housing is not waterproof. I opened the door after 3 weeks in the woods and there was water in the door and one battery had rust already. I change batteries and turned it to the "setup" mode and the screen was blank. Moved the slider up to "On" and it fired right up and turned on. I had the camera set on "High Resolution" which is 6mp. I have older moultries that made out at 5mp and they blow these pics out of the water. Night time range is about 15' but if the deer is past 10' you can't tell if it has antlers or not. I gave this camera 3 stars because of the price, ease of use, and the fact that it had taken over 2,000 pics in two months. The picture quality is horrible and the range is horrible. Only use this camera over a bait/mineral pile and be sure that the pile is within 10' of the camera.

My first camera was a Tasco, it lasted 7 months and died. This camera worked great for 4 months then died. I wasn't worried this time, because I purchased the 2 Year Replacement Plan for $4. According to the sales person if the camera fails I just need to bring it back with the reciept and Walmart would replace it. When I returned to the store with the receipt in hand Walmart referred me to the third party warranty company they contract. The warranty company said the factory warranty is good for a year and I need to contact them. Apparently the 2 year plan only goes into effect after the first year. Lesson learned is I've never had a game camera last a year and never purchase a Replacement Plan on anything Walmart sells.
