So, so soft to the touch, velvety feel, low pile, and does not slide around like other rugs! I usually have to buy a separate nonslip pad (pricey!) for all my rugs but not this one. It grips the floor and does not slide around. I love that I don’t need to spend twice the money to get a separate pad that ultimately only traps more dirt. I really love this rug, would buy over and over again!
