Introducing HexNest Branch in Yellow. HexNest is a Patent Pending formicarium ideal for the majority of ant species. Carefully crafted with the input of renowned ant keeping specialists, HexNest provides a modular solution that resolves or substantially decreases the issues encountered by ant keepers. It includes three hydration chambers and a refill bottle to conveniently regulate the humidity. Compact and expandable, HexNest is easy-to-use and can be connected to an Outworld, a 3rd party Formicarium, a Test Tube, or extra HexNest modules.

All HexNest Formicariums have been updated with greatly improved ventilation holes, making the Formicarium suitable for even the smallest of ant species!

Options:
1) Red Cover - Red cover provides a light blocker for species sensitive to light. Ants can not see Red Light, so with the Red Cover, a nice dark environment is provided for your colony.

2) Substrate - An optional fine sand like substrate is added to the bottom of the formicarium. Some species prefer a sandy bottom and do not deal well with smooth surfaces, such as Pogonomyrmex. Some species also require a sandy substrate to help their larvae build cocoons. This substrate also helps improve humidity management within the formicarium.
