Bi directional works from screen to PC or from PC to screen. HDMI cords are cheap so we bought a Bi directional adapter to connect my old tyme monitors to my New Laptop. They can also be used in the other direction so we don't need to worry about them working only one way. We have an old desktop that we need to go the other way with, to a TV, and that works fine too.
