Sometimes my ears can be sensitive to certain earrings but so far the sterling silver has not cause any irritation or green staining. Easily to insert into your ears; you open the bottom open slightly and one side of the earring is thicker than the other. These earrings did not slip around in my ears. You could wear these with a casual or more fancy outfit. The silver is very shiny.
