I think the text that goes along with the website should caution older individuals as the degree of balance needed for this device is beyond that which older people have or can develop. I speak as a 77 year old, but will still keep the item in the hopes that over time there might be some improvement. If it is too challenging I will give it to my neighbors' children. I also think literature could be included which provides a lest of exercises for the board which incrementally go from just starting out to more challenging
