Polar Pear Slices in Light Syrup, 10 oz

There's a difference between canned pear slices and the ones in the glass jar. The canned ones are soft and the texture of the ones in the glass jar is firmer. Just like the fresh pears my mother picked and canned. She served them on a saucer, with a lettuce leaf, covered in cottage cheese, well drained pears next then a dollop of mayo and shredded cheese. Reminds me of side salad at Sunday lunch!

I ordered this because I hadn't had pears in a long time, and some places the produce isn't the greatest. Also, when I would get the pears in the can, you would get the matalic taste along with it. So I wanted to try these and see. I wasn't expecting the crisp and fruity taste after just one bite! It also states that it is in light syrup, but it didn't seem syrupy at all. It was almost like a fresh squeezed juice. And even though the pears are in the glass, they weren't soggy soft. Just perfect to bite.
