This fully functioning Gen 7 C-A-T tourniquet is colored blue to identify it as a training device -- enabling instructors and trainees to practice training and tourniquet application practice. Tourniquets are intended for use in emergency situations. They stop severe bleeding caused by trauma. C-A-T tourniquets use a durable windlass system with a free-moving internal band providing true circumferential pressure to the injured limb.
