A number of conditions – tendonitis, DeQuervain's tendonitis, Gamekeeper's thumb, sprains and strains, post-cast healing, etc. – require immobilization to get better. This wrist brace with thumb spica restricts motion with a brace and a "spica" – the part of the brace that spreads thumb away from the hand. You'll feel better when injured area is allowed to heal while pain, swelling and muscle spasms are reduced.
