Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Ethiopia was established with the vision of creating competent and self-reliant citizens that contribute to the economic and social development of the country. To achieve these goals, the financing of vocational education is of increasing concern to government as it is a case, in many other countries. To sustainably increase the quality of TVET and to upgrade the intake capacity of the institutions having sufficient financial requirement is very crucial. Currently all TVET institutions are entirely dependent on governments budget allocation. But, this financing issue of the TVET could not be efficiently addressed by the government alone. Because, TVET is very costly in its nature and it requires much consumable materials. Therefore the financing challenge should be tackled by combining training with income generating activities.
