This item came in 2 boxes, which is fine. I would have liked to have know it was coming in 2 boxes for confirmation of entire order delivered. The person dropping off came back with the second box 10min later. He forgot.

Was our 35th Wedding Anniversary. We decided to order this TV stand w/fireplace. it was delivered early, on our anniversary date even! My husband unpackaged it, but when he got to the 2 top shelves there was Gouges in the front edge of the top and bottom edge of the 2nd. The gouge on the font edge of the shelf was Clearly visible from any angle. This is where the problem began. I did my return online at Walmart.com I was given the option to return it to the store. Which we opted to do. they're only a few blocks from where we live. only to find out when we got there, they would not take it back. My husband contacted Walmart at the %23 on the slip customer service gave him. Long story short . We were back and forth with Walmart and Homall almost the whole 30 days we had to get a credit of some sort or return the piece of furniture. We were so tired of trying to come to an easy solution that we decided on the Credit amount on our price for the damaged shelves. frankly my husband was tired of all thee packing and unpacking of the furniture. had to take pics of the damage. Now mind you, both of us come from retail backgrounds so we knew what we were up against. However, this is a .com purchase, and where we both came from only brick and mortar establishments at the time. After we got that resolved we did finally get it together and are enjoying it. The gouges are hard to swallow. we do think we have an idea how to fix them. we hope. fortunarely we both come from hardware backgrounds and my husband was a machinist as well. So, I would not let this discourage you from this purchase. I looked at many and there are a lot of the same design just different manufacturers. this was just one of those sad things that happen. they still had the best pricing! there is however a shipping fee you'll need to pay, even if you a Walmart plus member. When you do any return, if it is an item from a Third Party, especially furniture. You probably can't return it to the Walmart Store. at least call and double check.
