Does Not Work

Wanted to cut on prep time and save on home fries but this gadget only sliced maybe a quarter-inch down and wouldn't budge. Even tried a kitchen mallet to get the tater through but that just flattened the end of the potato! Ended getting the trusty knife out as usual. Disappointed. Not to mention, the handles' material is plastic and for someone with more muscle strength (was that my problem? I have that mallet!!) may break off. Not worth the investment. Plus it's shipped from China, took awhile to get here..
