In addition, the felt is breathable, as it really consists of 100% pure new wool and, unlike many other felt inserts, does not contain any synthetics. How do the insoles fit? They fit according to size and were made especially for our slippers from Kyrgyzstan (Tundra, Highland, Classic, Ballerina, Nomad, Taiga). But of course they also fit into any other (house) shoe. When in doubt, always take a size larger because they are easy to cut. They also fit into many models from the Brand HAFLINGER, such as Everest, Flair or Grizzly series. What kind of wool is used? Our felt pads are made from 100% natural sheep´s wool. We collect wool from small and medium-sized farmers whose farms are located in the highlands of the Naryn and Issyk-Kul regions of Kyrgyzstan. Harsh highland conditions determine the special properties of Kyrgyz sheep wool. It has more curls, which can produce a stronger felt. The wool fibers have a medium to large thickness, so that they are better suited for the production of woolen shoes and felt insoles and are more durable than e.g. merino wool.
