I'm a long time quicken user. I love it for tracking and categorizing expenses and investments. each year during black Friday sales, I buy a renewal at a great price. I don't activate until current subscription expires about 10mo from now. Wal Mart provided a great price and delivery.

New to Q? Start simple

Quicken is really feature rich and deep. If you are new to Quicken, keep it simple at first. Great for tracking your accounts and where your money goes. You will get insights about your spending you never understood before. This will drive behavior changes. As insights grow, you can start playing with investment accounts or budgets etc. There are other great options like YNAB too. Quicken is great for historical data and YNAB is great for controlling the future. Just depends a bit on what you are trying to achieve.
