This is exactly what I was looking for a receiving blanket set. It is double stitched and light enough to fold into small size. To give you and idea of thickness, all six blankets weigh in at 1 lbs. 6 oz. As such, they are not very thick. The color is exactly what you would expect when someone describes it as 'light blue'.

I love these blankets. They are just the right amount of soft, great size for newborns and nice gentle 100% cotton. We used these for our homebirth and I'd highly recommend these and this company.
