Easy to use and easy to clean

I love cooked rice, and, while getting rehab following a knee operation, my room mate in the rehab center kept bragging about his rice cooker. When I got home I decided I had to get one. So I bought the six cupper and, lo and behold it was and is easy to use. I usde to have to watch a pan on the stove, waiting until the water was absorbed so I didn't burn the rice. This one cooks the rice and turns the heat down to low so the rice stays warm until you need it. Clean up is easyamd quick.Even I, ay age 83 can do it! Great Little Cooker!

My first rice cooker, bought on sale over a year ago. At first it seemed flimsy but I have treated it with care & is quite sturdy. I wash it by hand, don't use metal utensils, & press "cook" button gently. I learned to place lid on pot to weigh down so button would stay on "cook" & not go to "warm" setting. By doing so I have been able to brown meat/chicken before adding veggies & liquids and/or raw pasta or rice (variety of one pot meals). Besides rice & using guidelines from recipes on Internet, I have made stews, fried rice, braised meat/chicken with steamed potatoes or veggies, & rice pudding; have yet to make cakes, boiled eggs, frittatas, oatmeal. Trick so cooked rice won't brown on bottom is to unplug cooker when button clicks on "warm" & let rice sit in pot with lid on for about 15-20 minutes. Cleanup is a breeze, chances of boil overs are practically zero, & economy of electricity and use of multiple pans. It's for single person to three people. I never put it away, always next to my stove. "Cook's Country" TV show/website recommends it.

Excellent cooker.

I bought this cooker 2 years ago. It has served me well. I think those who don't like it need to remember to put enough water in it. It nice to put the rice on and not worry about any longer. Love this appliance!
