Revlon Perfect Straight Smooth Brilliance XL Flat

There is much excitement about this flat iron especially for a coyly hair girl like me. I did do my part such as washing, deep conditioning, and lightly blow-drying my hair before putting the heat on it, so I don't blame any heat damage on the flat iron. I have a coarse type of hair commonly known as 4C hair. I set up the heat to 380 degrees and it has gotten my hair pretty straight and faster. It took me much less time to flat iron my whole head with this particular tool than I normally would with my old tool. I like the fact that it has an easy heat setting for more precise control for all types of hair. The plates are so smooth and glide through the hair gently without ripping it. The grip is perfect, and I got shiny hair as a result. I also used it to curl my hair and I got beautiful curls, too. For my coyly hair sisters out there, I would say get this flat iron and you would be amazed. I hope these come in different colors. This is a great tool and I highly recommend it.

My hair is very hard to straighten. Some high priced straighteners cannot straighten my hair. my hair us very difficult. This straightener is awesome. it works very well, I have no problem with frizz in all this humidity. i absolutely love this straightener. i have not received anything in return for this review, I simply just love this straightener.

Great for Transitioning Hair

Very impressed with this flat iron. Waited until wash day to use it because I wanted to see how it would do on my transitioning hair. My 3C hair is armpit length and is halfway grown out now so it can be a challenge to get a nice, straight finish on the natural portion of my hair. This did the trick very nicely, though. Flat iron heated up and was ready to go very quickly, in little to no time. I love that it has a wider/longer heating plate to work with a decent section of hair. Started out at 365 degrees just to see how it would be with my hair and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. It straightened my natural hair with one pass and even got my ends straight as well the first time around. I did a second pass only out of habit, but it wasn't necessary for my hair at all. Not a lot of frizz once done, either. Only took about 15 min. to flat iron my hair entirely, which is a plus for me. Took a little while for plates to cool down entirely before I was able to put it away (about 15 min. or so) but that's to be expected. Overall, a very nice product. It gives me a professional-looking finish with very little effort. Definitely recommend!
