I've gotten tired of tossing food out before it's time, mostly weggies and fruit. Had a vaccumn sealing system for quite a while. But decided to get the container set. My expectations were, that if they met the bagging standards, I'd be happy. Night and day. No more waste! Period. And once sealed, you can NOT open these by simply pulling the lids off. Not possible, without hitting the release button. Already have 2 friends ready to purchase sets now. Well worth the price!!!

I bought 3 sets, so I have 6 containers. Right after receiving them I did a test, didn't wash them or anything. I vacuumed each of them and see how long they can keep the seal. I only tested for 15 days. The following is my result: Two lasted 15 days, and probably can last longer if I waited longer. Two lasted 7 days initially, then I turned the lid 90 degrees, reseal, then they lasted the remaining 8 days. One lasted 1 day, then I turned the lid 90 degrees, reseal, then it lasted the remaining 14 days. One lasted 4 days, turned 90 degrees, reseal, lost seal the next days, then I reseal by vacuuming it twice, then it remained the remaining 10 days. Overall, as far as I can tell, I found each of them do not differ from the others at all. The different test results may be due to how I closed the lid or microscopic variations among them. Regardless, now I have been using them for 2 weeks, I am very satisfied that they do what they are supposed to do so far.
