Replaced a Denon x 3800 with this receiver and I was amazed at the improvement of sound. It brought my B%26W speakers to life. Set up was fairly simple but after having Denon for many years it's like learning a new language. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Clear sound, lots of power, runs cool

I first bought the Yamaha RX-A2A, but the sound was not quite up to my expectations, so I returned it and bought the RX-A6A. I am glad I did. I got a great price at Walmart.com. The RX-A6A's sound is clearer and less fatiguing to the ears at high volume. It has the latest advanced DACs, amplifiers, and chassis layout, and more power (150 W per channel vs 100 W). Runs cool compared to other brands, but in my closed cabinet I will add an Aircom T8 fan to make it even cooler. It takes lots of YouTube watching and experimentation to get all the setting right, but it's worth it and a good learning experience. Now I may upgrade my speakers to match the signal quality of the receiver.
