VERY EASY to clean hair out!!! Both the upper grate and stainless strainer disk under it can be quickly removed, without any tools, to wipe off accumulated hair, yet the grate doesn't have any play in it at all when in place. This replaced an ordinary round permanently attached grate. My tile guy neatly cut away about a 6" square area of tile to remove the old drain cover, then the plumber installed this one, then the tile guy filled in with pebble mosaic and grout around it. The grates come in different designs that you can check out at the Kingston Brass website. They also have different finishes but are all solid brass. They also have gorgeous round ones, but they don't have the internal strainer hair catcher.
