Maison Jules Womens Smocked Romper Jumpsuit

I bought 2 sizes.Wasn't sure about the size S and M. Had in mind to get one for myself and for my friend.This is my first time buying from Walmart.The red is super gorgeous and although this is a simple style, I have not seen any other seller selling this style in this drop-dead gorgeous colour. After trying,I realised it is quite true to sizechart. For dresses, I am between M- L(10-12).For open jackets/dusters, I am between xs-s (size 2-4) as I have small shoulders -15.5. Pants-size 8-10 depending on style and cutting.For this romper,I can fit both S and M. However, M looks and feels better on the body. I am 36D, 31.5 in waist and 40.5 in hips,Height is 5 ft.. Although the top is slightly loose around under bust near the waist, it does not look bad at all and maybe my tailor can run a stitch down to tighten the bodice.Need to check with her.Will still wear it even if no alterations are done. The shorts are very comfy, easy to move around in. For the S size, bust and waist fits exactly but the shorts although it fits and there is still space, feels a little uncomfortable to move in. As I have a full butt, I usually use a back mirror to check how I look from the back- the butt looks a little too full in size S. On the size M, the full butt looks less obvious or flatter and I prefer it that way. Have curves but just don't like drawing attention on butt or bust.Love sexy styles but avoiding any look that is too much out there . The colour alone is already so eye catching. Don't need to add more drama to it.I love that the shorts are fully lined and it's in red material as well. Clothes with similar colour lining gives the impression that it is not a cheap in design. Had dresses before with standard black or white lining. Feels cheap. Not this one though. Also really appreciate the longer length of the romper shorts so it's more modest and I can go to more places in this outfit without feeling underdressed. Would feel too bare in a shorter length and limit the use to more casual settings like beach or homewear. This is not a complete review because I don't know if it will bleed in the wash or how it wears after washing. The bottom part(shorts) came quite wrinkled when I unboxed it.The only slight problem is the gathers on the top of the romper at the back. part of the gathers behind tend to flip over instead of stay up. don't know if it is because the gathers are too long and not stiff enough. It doesn't bother me since I plan to wear a stunning kimono/shawl with this so the back is covered and on one can see the drooping gathers behind..Can't give full 5 stars.
