A well constructed nozzle for your garden hose
I recently received the Melnor XT Heavyweight 7-Pattern Nozzle through the Spark Review program. The first thing I noticed when I removed it from the shipping box was that it was heavier than any hose nozzle I had ever owned. It is a “Heavyweight” nozzle as advertised. The body is made of metal with a layer of rubber covering part of the grip that made it comfortable and secure in my hand even when wet. The nozzle has 7 settings. They are: FULL/CONE/SOAKER/MIST/SHOWER/JET/FLAT. The first thing I used it for was to wash the car. I used the “Shower” and the “Jet” setting. The “shower” setting was like a gentle rain with a well controlled pattern. The “Jet” setting put out a strong, narrow stream that also had a fairly well concentrated spray pattern. Later my wife used the “jet” setting to hose off the bird droppings on the porch and rail and it worked very well. When I released the handle to shut off the nozzle I didn't notice any water leakage either in the hose connection or any part of the nozzle. I tried all seven of the settings to check how I might use them later. The “soaker” setting will be good to soak an area around my tomato and pepper plants. The “mist” setting will be a great refresher on a hot summer day. The large spray head makes it easy to adjust it to the setting you need. I am very impressed with and highly recommend the Melnor XT nozzle. It comes with a “limited lifetime warranty” and with its well engineered design and heavy duty construction it should last for many years.

I RECEIVED THE MELNOR XT HEAVYWEIGHT 7-PATTERN NOZZLE FROM WALMART SPARK REVIEWER. THIS SPRAYER IS" SIMPLY THE BEST "SPRAYER I HAVE EVER OWNED. IT IS MADE OF HEAVY METAL WITH A RUBBER GRIP. IT HAS 7 DIFFERENT PATTERNS TO SPRAY WITH. WITH JUST A SIMPLE ADJUSTMENT. IT CONNECTS TIGHT TO THE HOSE WITH NO LEAKS. IT HAS GREAT WATER PRESSURE. FROM WASHING OFF FARM TRUCKS (CAR WASHS DON"T WANT YOU TO WASH FARM TRUCKS I) TO SPRAYING CLEAN TOOLS FOR MAKING UP CEMENT TO SET POST
An Amazing Spray Nozzle
The Melnor Heavyweight Metal 7-Pattern Nozzle XT451 is a really amazing water spray nozzle. The nozzle easily threaded onto my hose. There were no leaks observed when the water was turned on. I tried all 7 of the spray patterns. Each of the spray patterns will have a real use in our yard and garden. The patterns range from a solid stream, through various shower patterns to a very fine mist. The solid stream is useful for cleaning up the patio and driveway after the roadrunners passed through leaving their droppings which had dried in the hot desert sun. I set the nozzle to the steady stream with the water fully turned on and started spraying the dried droppings. Very quickly it started to soften and wash away. The hard hitting spray easily did its job much easier than my old spray nozzle. The fine mist setting is perfect for misting ferns and begonias. The other shower head like spray patterns provide the needed pattern for other garden watering tasks. I tried playing with the various spray patterns and was quite impressed with the flexibility of the nozzle. The nozzle has a flip lever so that depressing of the handle is not required for water to flow. There is an adjustment knob at the top of the handle for setting the water flow rate when the nozzle handle is depressed or when the flip lever is used. This is a nice feature. The only controls on the nozzle are this adjustment knob and the spray pattern selection knob . At first I felt this nozzle is really heavy. I tried weighing the nozzle on our bathroom scales and found that it was less than one pound, (the minimum that our scales will read) The weight is not a problem, but it does take a little getting used to. I would recommend this nozzle for yard and garden usage, but expect the nozzle to feel heavy. It is a very good nozzle. I received this product at no cost for the purposes of test, evaluation and review.
