Peace of mind

I live near southern Ohio, where most of my hiking happens. The area was heavily minded for iron ore. I needed something that incorporated greensand along with micro filtration. Plus the taste improvement with using carbon too. The bonus is I can remove the filter and use it as a regular water bottle at home. And also travel with it.

16. 9 UltraPress

This is the best way to get a lot of water fast. My concerns getting clean water to start. 1) I don't always have a waterfall to just stick my container and draw water. I'm thinking of a way to make a way to throw my bottle in the lake/creek and reel it in/ lift it out. Bankline cordage net. Throw it/drop it down and pull it back to Daddy. 2) keeping abrasive contaminates and large particles out of the initial press. Strainer cup in a cup? I know I'm complicating things, but don't want to get on my hands and knees to get water. And don't want to wear it out. Am very excited to get some water through it. This is the best way to quickly filter water.

Amazing

I have used this on several hikes. I have done countless searches for THE best water filter for on the go. Grayl consistently is tested for being #1. I have used this when traveling too. Hotel sink water? No problem? Hiking river water? No problem. I will gladly pay extra for peace of mind for clean water. I have the 24 oz for hiking and Truck camping but just bought the smaller one for an international trip Im about to go on. Thanks Grayl!
