This was the best renter friendly option I could find for the square deadbolt on the door !! It’s very sturdy and easy to put on, I’m so glad I came across this because before I felt I was going to have to BEG the landlords to change the aesthetic of their lock to a round one so it’d have been easier to child proof it. But now I’m at piece of mind because my toddler is very very fast and all it takes sometimes is to put a dish in the sink then she would already be opening the door, before this I had to put the couch in front of the door !

My child has been getting thru child proof things since he was 10months old so I was doubtful at first this would work for him. He accidentally locked my husband out of the house by turning deadbolt and my husband had no extra keys on him! Luckily my boss let me leave work on lunch early to come unlock the door! It could have been a worse scenario for sure! So far so good! He hasn't been able to do that again! I highly recommend if you have little ones please get this product.

I got this to prevent my dog from unlocking the deadbolt and I feel so much better now that I have this. It is very well made and easy to install. I rent my apartment and it is definitely renter friendly as you only need to unscrew two screws to install. I would definitely recommend this product.
