These have got to be the first car/truck/suv floor mats I've ever gotten that did NOT have a nasty smell to them! Used to be, you'd have to leave the mats out on the driveway for a few days so the smell would leave them. This, I must say, is a very nice surprise! I was very skeptical when I ordered them but knew if I didn't care for them I could return them. Now, these are well made, but let me explain that a bit. While they do have deep channels for sand and rain to drop down into if you get into the vehicle with dirty shoes/feet, they are however made rather thin in material. It is substantially sturdy, just not as thick and heavy as I remember them being in the past years that I've purchased floor mats for my car. Now I see that the weight of the floor mats isn't really necessary. I see that these will do very nicely in the job they are intended :) The two front mats are shaped to fit the space that is in standard vehicles. The rear piece is one long piece but because the material is more thin, it's very easy to take a good pair of sissors and cut it to fit or even to cut it into two separate mats if you prefer it that way instead. They have non slip ribbing on the back side to help them to stay in place too. You can remove these and wash them at the car wash or at home on the driveway with a hose. They are made from premium PVC material and that's probably why they don't stink like the ones made in years past. I would recommend these to anyone who wants to protect the carpeting on the floor of their vehicle. We all know that when it's time to sell your vehicle, the better shape it's in and if it looks good inside as well, it will get a better resell price. I feel that using these floor mats from Motor Trend, will help me to maintain the value of my SUV.

I was looking for an affordable but strong floor mat set for my Pontiac Vibe and these work perfectly for my needs. I work as a nanny for children who love the beach which means we track alot of sand into my car. Before I found these I had the stock carpet mats which had seen better days and needed to be constantly vacuumed. These new mats make my life a whole lot easier as I can simply lift them out and shake. I like that they're heavy duty and have deep grooves to catch all dirt and debris. Even though these are heavy duty they still look sporty with the lines in the grooves and the deep black coloring and red labeling. These mats are thick and generous in size so they adequately cover the entire floor board. They are rubber which makes them very flexible and contour the curves of my car exceptionally well. The back mat which is a long one piece mat lays across the hump of the back which is a super nice feature as above the hump is a drink holder which the children seem to always dribble on. The mat catches the liquid and prevents it from getting into the carpet which causes it to smell and stain. I had read where other people needed to cut their mats to fit their space but mine fit just fine. Although these are rubber they are odorless and they truly have no scent or smell. The underside of these mats are ribbed and have a series of small raised bumps which keep the mats secure to the floor and prevent sliding. The price is affordable as well which makes these mats a smart choice.
