The camera provides a great picture. The battery life is 14 hours which I love. My previous baby cams have a very short lasting battery comparatively. This model is affordable and has just the features I need. I do not need to connect it to my phone. . The features I wanted are : portable camera, long battery life, high quality picture, easy to hang on the wall and a movable camera to pan the room and I especially like the room temperature monitor! It will also zoom in, has a nightlight with different colors, and plays lullabies which you can set a timer to.

First time using a video monitor and I love it. What I love about it, is that I can scan the full room from side to side and pretty much from ceiling to floor. Also a plus is that you can have it mounted on the wall (screws for that are not included) if needed for better viewing, just make sure it's near an outlet as the camera part has to be plugged in to work. It has music options as well to play soft music for bedtime or nap time. And you can talk through it to let child know you're near by. I'd say the only negative I can think of is that the monitor is bright even on the lowest setting. Could definitely be used as a nightlight, that's how bright it is. I just put it under the pillow with the volume up a bit so I can hear when the kids wake up. Would definitely recommend to any parent or guardian for keeping an eye on their children from another room. Perfect for playrooms as well so you can keep an eye on your kid while having to do housework.
