Electactic Upright Freezer, Energy Saving 2.1 Cu.ft Single Door Compact Upright Freezer with Reversible Door(White)

Use this in my living quarters horse trailer. Have it in tack area and use separate extension cord to plug in at home and when camping. Got 2.1 cf and so glad I didn't go smaller. Fits perfect. Friends thinking of getting one also after seeing mine!

I needed extra space beyond the freezer compartment of my refrigerator-freezer. This freezer's shipping box was huge and the wrappings were difficult to get off, but that's better than them being flimsy! Once installed, it's worked fine. Obviously, I wish it were self-defrosting, but it hasn't needed defrosting so far, so at least that chore is infrequent. My only complaint about quality is the hinge -- it's supposed to be reversible, but it felt like I'd have to break it to take it apart, so I left it hinged as it arrived. (At the same time that it won't come off, the hinge cover is loose and shifts around. But this is a quibble in the overall picture.) I wish I'd gotten the larger size -- 3 cu. ft. instead of 2. If you're undecided, get the larger size. It's not much more money, and frozen food expands to fill the space available. You'll find a use for the extra room.
